Al and Carole Meehan have served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for over five decades. Initially they served in South America, where Al was a pilot supporting language translation teams and later was field director in Columbia. Drawing upon Al’s prior background in law enforcement, today their ministry focus is on assessing and countering security threats to Wycliffe’s global ministries and workforce, including safety issues confronting children of Wycliffe missionaries. The Meehans also work with trafficked women and children in Thailand. With this global focus, their work has taken them to many countries in South and Central America and Asia.
